Comic Book HeroWe met in the Summer, I was single and free,
So fragile and sweet, he took care of me.
He was so much fun, exciting and new,
It was all so amazing, too good to be true.

Like a comic book hero, he swept me away.
He promised me the world, the night and day.
But his heart was untrue, his words were lies.
No comic book hero, but a villain disguised.

Our romance was deep, like Superman and Miss Lane
Iron Man, Miss Potts, Spidey and Mary Jane.
He impressed me with gifts, and words sublime,
Affirmations of how he would always be mine.

Like a comic book hero, he swept me away.
He promised me the world, the night and day.

The Girl That Painted the EarthThere was a girl
That painted the earth.
She tried to capture
Its vast beauty
With greens
And browns.

With a mere thought
The girl drew rolling hills
To be colored with
Her brilliant paints.

A stroke could call
Forests to her canvas
With leaves and footprints
Filled with life
Waiting to be created.

She would paint the greens
Of a forgotten meadow.
She thought of blossoms
Brought back with
Vivid pinks
And royal purples.

She painted snowy mountains
And deep plateaus.
Her sketches showed
Empty burrows
And closed caverns.

But sitting back to watch
Her paintings come to life
She realized something
Now obviously clear

Monument to a Ruined ManI see you now.

The magnificent velvet and silk flags of your name
Now fester and rot in tatters.
The ornate gold and jewels, now dull and blackened with age,
Hang limply from the brittle, yellowing scaffolds
Of your admiring subjects, their mouths gaping open in one last,
Mocking cackle,
All loyalty long since disappeared.

And here you stand
Alone in the silence of your own undoing-
No longer a ruler, or even a man, but a shell-
The hands whose wizened palms I once worshipped
Have crumbled slowly into nothing.
Those lips, whose stately curve I once adored,
Now worn and cracked from centuries of smiling.

Soul CollectorBloody murderer…
Damned soul collector…

Tell me, how could you extort the life out of those shiny, brown eyes?!
I'm vividly smiling as he slowly dies…
Tell me, didn't you fell a thing while giving the poisonous kiss?
I feel every beating of his heart as we are immersing in the bliss…

A soul collector, destroyer of the mind,
I'm about to extinguish his light, to leave him lost and blind…
I'll encage his ripped soul,
Just after he'll lose the self-control…
Don't drag another soul into your disgrace,
Just one more blanked face…
Don't kill again with your breath-taking embrace,
I prom

The Littlest ArtistThis life isn't easy
I weave my work
Wherever I please
But I've been run out
Place to place
Wherever I end up

I've had fans
Who I'm thankful for
Critics that ignore me
But the one thing
That I'll never understand
Are those who hate me

They see me
They destroy my work
They try to kill me
My legs are tired
I can't run
I can hide
But if they find me
I fear the thought

Is it because I'm so small?
In such a big world
Is it because I scare people?
I don't mean too

Or is it because...
...I am merely a spider

34. MoonOne night I was aked by the moon
If I am happy
I could not reply too soon
the answer's not easy
I should have simply said "yes" and leave the moon alone up there
But instead I said "I don't know" and the moon began to stare

All I had wanted was to dream
And gaze at the sky
But now there was the moon's gleam
Demanding reasons why
Maybe I should have turned away, ignoring the bright moon, but
Its light filled my bedroom and my window blind refused to shut

So many time you looked at me
Longing in your eyes
I wonder if you're happy
Or if you need advise
But since you never said a word I finally did ask
Say, are you hap

Tomorrow Won't Be YesterdayTomorrow Won't Be Yesterday

The light is on
I'm awake
You're sleeping next to me

I think I've had
All I can take
It's all that I can see

Ruined promises
Roses, diamonds gold
I never would have wished for them
If I hadn't been told—

"Baby you're the one for me
I'll never let you down
Here take my hand I'll lead the way
I'll make you safe and sound

Darling you're the one for me
And I am so glad I found
You're beautiful you're wonderful
You make me so damn proud"

But the light is on
I'm writing this
And your eyes are closed so tight

I can't remember
Your last smile
I only recall the fight

LegoLove is a beautiful soul steering thing;
when it happens
when it succeeds and the seed is sown.
But when wasted you can smell
The defeat as it ebbs away.
The dead quiet, complete void of uselessness.
The giving up,
the evaporation of passion,
the finality of something lost
and now leaden.
The ending of something that never was.

A Night of CrowsSoul dark her eyes bleed obsidian, like a fever of liquid-shadows,
seeking her lover damned…
And a myriad of talons will seed the sky — a primeval calling
of necromancy and lust untamed
Upon her breath, I whispered softly in winged-caress:
"cast thy nightscapes unto the ache of gossamer streams"
So she closed her eyes and her demon lover hungered long..

Reign Of DeathBeware of demons sleeping in the dark,
Flames lick their faces and like dogs they bark.
Wake up in a land under the reign of death,
To a severe existence of eternal agony,
Where nothing but venom escapes your breath.

Beware of sinners basking in the smoke,
Lashes slit their lips like snakes they choke.
Wake up in a land under the reign of doom,
To a extreme catastrophe of continuing pain,
Where nothing but evil escapes your womb.

Beware of liars waiting in the light,
Whips crack their wrists like lions they fight.
Wake up in a land under the reign of despair,
To a dire isotope of infinite screams,
Where nothing but love escapes

Cold in the NightThe night is beautiful as I stare at the sky,
And it reminds me somehow of your eyes.
So I wonder if, wherever you are,
You are looking up at these same stars.

The snow is cold, but I cannot feel anything;
I can only hear the song that the night sings.
The full moon’s light falls down just like tears,
And, darling, I can almost feel you here.

All at once I am desperate, so lost and so cold
Though not from winter’s iron-ice hold.
I am caressed by winter’s fingers, its frost in my veins
But I know that this chill is just not the same.

I want nothing more than to be lost in this icy hour,
To disperse into a million pin-prick

Ode Of The ForsakenSlip away into that enthralling charm of hell,
So you can witness fantastical puffs of your putrid smoke,
Bellowing out vague words that inflate to let off a wild yell.
No dark dream nor nuanced nightmare,
But a breathing reality into which the forsaken have awoke.

Screams of tragic horror that seeps out to be alive,
So you can glimpse the damned future of your fetid teeth,
Whispering out steel voices that quieten eyes looking to forgive.
No honest heart nor mournful mind,
But a crying brutality into which the forsaken know no heath.

Shadows writhe in the chaotic depths of their graves,
So you can sense the whimsical mind of your m

Peaceful place

The birds chirping,
The wave's crashing,
This is a peaceful place.
The breezes hits my skin,
And warms me from the outside in.

The smell of the ocean,
The mist from the sea,
The waves crash below.
The tree that shade's me is tall and strong.
I feel the life within.

A small squirrel leaps from its branches
Landing almost at my side.
We see each other but it does not run,
It is peaceful here.
We sit and watch the sea together.

As the sun beats down,
Through the mighty oaks leave's.
We sit and watch the seas
And as darkness comes,
The sea is calm, until next days light.

The FallingThe Falling

Upon malodorous rapture of orphaned darkness,
eternal melancholy becomes twisted and hollow
In the severed reflections of sanguine shadows,
we will drown in ruby tears of pain and sorrow

Whispers of odium seep gently into my dreams...
The Raven lingers in solemn clouds dark as coal
My blood surges like a chorus of bitter requiem
And my lips — the anathema of your dying soul

Dark lust hums like a cold tide of weeping voices
Perfumed in ash & bone, hallucinations imbue —
Blood soaked robes hang from my slender bride,
shimmering like scarlet threads under ebon skies
After sable petals fall upon my beloved's gra

Meandering Song of StarsNight has come
Night has gone
Stars will light the day
Moonlit day of shadows bright
And magic of a lover's heart

None shall come
None shall pass
All to ruin makes
When sunlight sings a Siren's song
And toasts us all-or bakes…

If stars were to shine as bright as your eyes
I'd be blind from staring.
Should music pass from your lips as words
I'd never speak again for bliss
When the wind whispers lover's songs
And a sweet caress…
I think of you and wonder if you even know my name

Should daylight bring another curse-
Of never seeing you
I'd banish all who spoke your name.

Darkness is our only ally
Escape our dream

The Thing

I lay still in my bed,
Mr. Ted by my side,
And listen hard for the thing
That crawls around outside.
He'll start with the scratching,
It's always the same,
His claws carving the face
Of the wooden door frame.
Then he'll move onto the blood
Seeping beneath my door,
Dripping from the walls,
Covering the floor.
The wardrobe door will squeak,
Those green eyes appear,
Voices will whisper
Dark words in my ear.
Their dead hands will tug
At the edge of my sheets
And insects will crawl
All over my feet.
I lay and wait
For their games to begin.
But tonight will be different,
I whisper with a grin,
Tonight I will show
Those monsters a scare.
They can come back again,
IF they dare.

this is a very very spooky poem. I love it. You could adapt this into a story about monsters and demons that mess with you and then you show em who's boss by scarin the heck outta them.
